LEC is currently looking to hire an electrial estimator

LAKETOWN ELECTRIC CORPORATION is a growing mid-size commercial and industrial electrical contractor with an office based in Waconia, MN.  Our projects consist of healthcare projects, commercial buildings, agricultural construction and industrial facilities.  Our projects range in size from a few thousand dollars to $3 million in electrical.   

We are currently accepting resumes for Electrical Estimators based out of our office in Waconia, MN. 

We are seeking individuals who project a professional image, have a positive attitude and are leaders and self starters with a strong work ethic and the ability to perform all levels and types of electrical estimating including commercial, industrial, and healthcare facilities.  The electrical estimator must be able to estimate design-build projects (75% of our workload) as well as plan and spec projects. 

Applicants must possess superior skills in computer estimating and spreadsheet programs and a proven background with RFIs, cost estimates, hard bids, material take-offs and reading blueprints.  This is purely an estimating position, and the candidate will not be responsible to manage projects.  The candidate must possess good people skills and the ability to build rapport with key end users and general contractors.  Proven experience with McCormick Estimating Software and Cobra are a major plus.  Primary functions of this position will be to perform take-offs, formulation of proposals and final bidding of all types of construction including but not limited to medical facilities, manufacturing and food plants, churches, schools and commercial buildings.  Applicants must also have the ability to read and understand contract documents, drawings and specifications; have an understanding of general electrical design and engineering concepts and have an overall general knowledge of electrical material costs.
